Education Committee

The GCCC Education Committee was formed in the Fall of 2009 to coordinate various activities between local members and schools.

The group meets the second Thursday of every month at 8am. Location varies.

To date, the group has conducted school visits during American Education Week, provided information to members about local school needs and requests, and is planning a Teacher Appreciation Gala in May to celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Day.

Members of the committee include Ginny Woody of The Washington Savings Bank, Chien Vuong of Vuong’s Martial Arts, Lynda Kroh of Crofton Printing & Copy Centre, Ed White of RE/MAX, Glorious Heath of Essex Bank, and Martha Brown of Long & Foster.

For more information on how to become involved with the group’s efforts, contact Chair Laura Tayman at Laura@suburbanscene.net.
